November 4, 2008In oral arguments made in a case challenging the state’s authority to create and fund charter schools, the Colorado Solicitor General maintained that charter schools have a constitutional right to exist.
"Accused by Colorado Democratic Party Chairwoman Pat Waak of issuing a partisan legal opinion on the legality of taking duplicate voter registration information out of the state’s voter rolls, Attorney General John Suthers fired back.
In a letter distributed to the press, Suthers said Waak’s attacks on him hurt the public confidence in the electoral process."
