Election equipment to be tested for accuracy

Ballots and equipment that will be used in the Aug. 12 primary election will be tested for accuracy Tuesday at the Boulder County Clerk and Recorder’s Office.

The public is welcome to watch the testing, which will be held at 10 a.m. in the ballot processing center, 1750 33rd St., Boulder. The testing is expected to take the entire day.

The purpose of the test is to ensure that all equipment is tabulating properly and that all ballots are being counted accurately, according to Clerk and Recorder Hillary Hall. The testing will also ensure that all primary election ballots -- including mail-in, provisional, precinct, and audio ballots -- are properly printed.

The last day to register to vote in time for the primary is July 14. Visit VoteBoulder.org to register to vote or for more information on the elections.
