A hearing to decide the fate of a downtown Boulder strip club has been delayed until next month.
Michael Cobb, owner of the Nitro Club, maintains that his business should qualify as a restaurant under zoning rules, and shouldn't have to go through a city "use review" process to remain open, as city planning officials maintain.
In April, the city's Board of Zoning Adjustment agreed to designate the business a restaurant. But a majority of the city's Planning Board voted to review that decision. The hearing was originally scheduled for tonight, but the club's owner requested a delay.
The hearing is now scheduled for July 10, said Brian Holmes, the city's zoning administrator.
