Republican joins CU regent race

Former teacher will face Democrat Joe Neguse

Republican Jerry Reed, a retired teacher and a former city councilman from Oklahoma, is vying for a seat on the Board of Regents.

The race for the regents seat representing the 2nd Congressional District will pit Reed against Democrat Joe Neguse, a CU law student and former student body president.

Neguse launched his campaign last fall and has raised more than $15,000 for the race.
