8/14: Voters can handle a "crowded" ballot

Do you get tired just thinking about the ballot this November? It's sure to be long, but not boring!

More on that in a moment on the Face The State Radio Minute.

There's no doubt that our ballot this November is likely to be a doozy. Featuring nineteen ballot questions we will see the second longest ballot since 1912, the first year for initiatives in the state. Not to mention the presidential race.

Some are sure to suffer from "voter fatigue," that dangerous condition that comes from political overload. But I think most voters are smart enough to process all the issues put before them.

Plus, with mail ballots, you can take your sweet time to consider the issues, from mandatory health care to freedom from unions and an effort to undo taxpayer protections under TABOR. And don't forget the inevitable "vote no on everything” campaign we can soon expect as a response to the ballot.

A long ballot will sure make for an interesting election. And hey, it's a good excuse to take a long lunch on November 4th!
