Independence Institute research director David Kopel speaks Saturday at the think tank's annual Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Party. Kopel was an attorney with the legal team that successfully sought to overturn the Washington, D.C. gun ban, one of the toughest in the country. The case, District of Columbia v. Heller, was decided this week by the U.S. Supreme Court and affirms an individual right to gun ownership under the Second Amendment.
