Ahhh, remember when chambers of commerce actually supported free market ideals? Well, don't give up hope. While local chambers, including Denver's, are all too eager to come out in favor of bigger government, the statewide chamber, known as the Colorado Association of Commerce & Industry, has given us reason to believe that not all has been lost.

Releasing its legislative endorsements Thursday, CACI's board of directors avoided the temptation to support candidates favoring bigger government, instead supporting those advocating less. "Electing and keeping pro-business legislators in the General Assembly is critical for the prosperity of our business community, and CACI's support of these candidates reflects that goal," CACI President Chuck Berry said in a statement. The organization's political action committee has pledged that it will provide up to $400 per candidate, a small amount that coupled with an important endorsement could pack a big punch with voters.
