After failing to win support in the General Assembly for a referred measure, Rep. Andrew Romanoff, D-Denver, is hitting the streets to collect signatures for a proposal to undo major constitutional taxpayer protections in the name of public education funding. The House Speaker faces the daunting task of collecting 25,000 signatures a week to meet an August 4 deadline.
